Zubin, Madesh share Rd 1 lead

Panchkula’s Zubin Nijhawan and Kochi’s Madesh Krishna shot an identical 2-under 70 to lead the opening round of the PGTI’s Pre-Qualifying (I) for the 2020 season, at the Kensville Golf & Country Club, near Ahmadabad, today.
Nijhawan’s card included four birdies and two bogeys, while Krishna traded five birdies for three bogeys.
Mumbai-based Akash Modi occupied the third place at 1-under 71. Noida’s Manpreet Mann and Mhow-based Sumeet Choudhary shared the 4th spot at par 72.
Out of a total field of 98, the top 26 players and ties will qualify for the final qualifying stage. There are three pre-qualifying events in total.
