YoGems-VICTOR Open Badminton Championship 2019 finally marked its end on Monday. The digital scoring oriented ‘Paperless’ tourney received participation of approx 510 students from 150+ schools of Delhi-NCR region. All the matches of the tournament were played in between October 12 to October 14 at SAM Games Sports Centre, FSSF Road, Nyay Khand-1, Near, NH 24, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.

Both Boys and Girls matches in Singles categories were played in Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age categories during the course of 3 day tournament. In addition to this men’s open singles and doubles were also played at SAM Sports Center. All categories semifinal and final matches were played on the last day of Badminton Championship i.e 14th October.

Mr Kunal who was representative of super milk ‘Gritzo’ and the owner of SAM Sports center, Mr Ravi were present during the award ceremony. They along with YoGems Co-founder and CTO Puneet Mathur honored all categories winners, runner-ups and semi-finalists with medals and certificates.

In boys U9 semi-final battle, favourite Vivaan Bisht clinched a straight forward victory over Sahil by 15-11, 15-11. In another SF, Tanmay Verma demolished challenge of Rasesh Sarkar in straight sets by 15-7, 15-6.

In girls U9 Semifinals Agrima proved just too much for her counterpart Aarna Rawat when she defeated her by 15-0, 15-4. While other SF resulted in a thriller where Maanyata Wadhwa reign supreme over Gauri Kalia through Golden Point by scoreline of 10-15, 15-12, 14-15.

In Boys U11 semifinal battle Aaryan Sethi won ticket to final by defeating Abhinandan Rawat with 15-10, 15-11 scoreline. Veer Mehndiratta won match against Sarthak Nalwade in the other semifinal of Boys U11 category with 15-9,15-14 scoreline.

Semifinal matches of Girls U11 Singles category named Rashika Nandi winner against Vaishnavi Bhaduria with 15-2, 15-9 scoreline. In another match Advika Verma won match against Saanvi Lohia with 5-10, 10-15 points.

In Boys U13 category Singles Semifinal match Karan Suyal won against Harshit Dhankar with 11-15, 10-15 scoreline. In other encounter Sammer Hooda secured his ticket to final by winning a thriller against Ishaan Kathait with 9-15, 15-9, 15-10 points.

In Girls U13 semifinal matches Ruchi Chahal defeated Ishita Gangwar by 13-15, 8-15 points and Nitisha Negi defeated Yashvi Rajput with 15-7, 15-10 scoreline.

In Boys U15 semi final matches Shibansh Karki defeated Ashish Garg by 14-15, 15-13, 15-9 points and Ritik Agarwal won other SF match against Vaibhav Talyan with 15-13, 12-15, 15-13 points.

In Girls U15 semi final matches Ruchi Chahal defeated Ishita Gangwar by 5-15, 7-15 points and Nitisha Negi won other SF match against Yashvi Rajput with 15-14, 14-15, 11-15 points.

In U17 Boys Singles semifinal matches Bhavya Sharma won against Maadhav Goel with 14-15, 11-15 and Arnav Goswami won against Ayush Goswami by 13-15, 15-13, 10-15 scoreline.

In mens open semifinal Harshit Choudhary defeated Bhavya Sharma by 10-15, 14-15 and in another SF Rakshak Sharma defeated Payod Pushkar by 9-15, 4-15.

In men’s doubles semifinal Aditya Kumar and Harshit defeated pair of Payod Pushkar and Shubham by 15-14, 9-15, 8-15 and in another SF Ankush Kumar and Pankaj Kumar defeated pair of Shiv Kochar and Rakshak by 11-15, 15-12, 15-11.

In the final match of Girls U11 category Rishika Nandi announced the winner against Advika Verma with 21-11, 22-20 scoreline.

Aaryan Sethi won Boys U11 category final against Veer Mehndirattta with 21-16, 21-17 points. Shibansh Karki wins Boys U15 category final against Ritik Agarwal with 21-17, 21-15 scoreline. Ragini Jain wins Girls U17 category final against Somya Gupta with 21-19, 18-21, 21-15 points.

In Boys U9 age category Vivaan Bisht grabs winning trophy after defeating Tanmay Verma with 21-14 ,21-13 points. In girls U9 category final Agrima wins match against Maanyata Wadhwa with 21-14 ,21-14.

Nitish Negi wins final match of Girls Under 15 category against Ruchi Chahal with 21-11, 21-15 points. It was a repeat of Girls U13 category as Nitisha Negi again defeated Ruchi Chahal to claim her Twin titles.

In final match of Boys Single Under 17 age category Arnav Goswami won final match against Bhavya Sharma with 21-15, 21-17 scoreline.
