YoGems NCR Open Tennis Championship 2019 finally marked its end on Monday. The digital scoring oriented ‘Paperless’ tourney received participation of approx 200 students from 50+ schools of Delhi-NCR region. All the matches of the tournament were played in between October 19th to October 21st at Aryan Tennis Academy, Shankara Special School, Sector 33, Noida near Iskcon Temple.
Both Boys and Girls matches in Singles were played in 4 categories that were U8, U10, U12, and U14. All categories semifinal and final matches were played on the last day of Badminton Championship i.e 21st October. Apart from finals all matches of Under-10, Under-12 were played on ‘Best of 7’ system, final was played as Best of 9. In U-14 all matches except final was played on Best of 9 games system, and final was played on Best of 11 games. UNder-8 was played solely on points system.
Mr Kunal who was representative of super milk ‘Gritzo’ and the owner of Aryan Tennis Academy, Mr Agnivesh both were present during the award ceremony. They along with YoGems Co-founder and CTO Puneet Mathur honored all categories winners, runner-ups and semi-finalists with medals, certificates and merchandise of the sponsors.
In boys U8 semi-final battle, favourite Gative Solanki clinched a straight forward victory over Ranvijay Singh by 2-0. In another SF, Tanush Batra demolished challenge of Rabeeb Khan in straight sets 2-0.
In girls U8 Semifinals Chitransha Kushwaha proved just too much for her counterpart Tejasvi Anupriya when she defeated her by 2-0. While other SF resulted in a thriller where Shreyanshi Parida reign supreme over Ishita Tiwari through Golden Point by scoreline of 2-0.
In Boys U10 semifinal battle Anuj Sarda won ticket to final by defeating RIdhwan Deshwal with 4-0 scoreline. Pratham Yadav won match against Dhanvath Parveen in the other semifinal of Boys U10 category with 4-1 scoreline.
Semifinal matches of Girls U10 Singles category named Agrima Jaiswal winner against Pratyaksha Raj with 4-2 scoreline. In another match Norah Chaudhary won match against Saanvi Soo with 4-0 points.
In Boys U12 category Singles Semifinal match Tarush Sharma won against Saransh Tyagi with 4-0 scoreline. In other encounter Anuj Sarda secured his ticket to final by winning a thriller against Aaditya Sharma with 4-1 points.
In Girls U12 semi final matches Sara Knadwal defeated Rythima Madaan by 4-0 points and Agrima Jaiswal defeated Pratyaksha Raj with 2-4 scoreline.
In Boys U14 semi final matches Ridhwan Deshwal defeated Tarush Sharma by 3-5 points and Vedant Mehta won other SF match against Shanu Morya with 6-1 points.
In Girls U14 semi final matches Nafeesa Zafar defeated Anika Singh by 5-1 points and Anika Singh won other SF match against Vanisha SIngh.
In the final match of Girls U8 category Chitrakshi Kushwaha reigns supreme against Shreyanshi Parida with 2-0 scoreline.
Gative Solanki won Boys U8 category final against Tanush Batra with 2-0 points. Anuj Sarda wins Boys U10 category final against Pratham Yadav with 4-1 scoreline. Agrima Jaiswal wins Girls U10 category final against Norah Chaudhary with 4-2 points.
In Boys U12 age category Tarun Sharma grabbed the winning trophy after defeating Anuj Sharda with 4-2 points. In girls U12 category final Sara Kandwal won against Agrima Jaiswal with the scoreline 4-0.
In Boys U14 age category Vedant Mehta grabbed the thriller after defeating Ridhwan Deshwal 5-4 points. In girls U14 category final Nafeesa Zafar won against Anika Singh.
