YoGems Inter School U17 Dehradun Football Championship Day 02: Quarterfinal lineup is decided for the Championship

On the second day of the Inter School Football Tournament played at the Pavilion Ground, Dehradun all the remaining knock-out fixtures formed great set of performances from the players of different school’s team. On day 02 of the match, all the scheduled school’s team locked horns with the rival team and the day formed a great show for the spectators of the competition.
The first match of Day 02 offered opportunities to SGRR Public School team and Spring Hills team. Both the teams started the match on a positive note, SGRR team emerged as the better side among the two teams and Raja Singh (in 34th min) scored the inaugural goal of the day. The team reached 2-0 scoreline at the end of first-half as Rohit Gusain (in 38 min) scored a marvelous goal. Ensuring the lead in the second half of the match, Rohit Gusain (in 55min) added another goal in his account to mark 3-0 scoreline as the final score of the match.
Second match of Day 02 was played in between Doon Valley Public School and KVUC team. The match witnessed great defending game plan from both the teams. However, Tanishk Shimal (in 44 min) formed lead for the Doon Valley team and the team extended the offered lead till the end of the match. The match between Doon Valley Public School team and KVUC team ended with 1-0 scoreline, offering Doon team a spot in Quarterfinal lineup.
Third match of Day 02 accounted the most goal scored match of the tournament. In the match, Kendriya Vidyalaya, IMA team played great team game as the side scored total 5 goals in the duration of the match against SGRR Public School team. In the one-sided match, Alok Nautiyal emerged as the most valuable player for his team. Alok Nautiyal scored total 4 goals (in 34 min), (in 36 min), (in 51 min) and (in 73 min) of the match. With this splendid performance Alok Nautiyal of Kendriya Vidyalaya IMA team tops the table of ‘Goal Scorer’. Prashant Rawat also scored goal for the Kendriya Vidyalaya team (in 74 min) of the match. The 03 match of the day ended with 5-0 mammoth difference for Kendriya Vidyalaya IMA team.
Last match of the day was played in between Kendriya Vidyalaya, Birpur A team and DPSG Dehradun School team. Rohit Negi of Kendriya Vidyalaya team shined in the match as ‘one man army’. The player scored 3 goals in the possession of the play (in 28 min), (in 35 min) and (in 51 min). Kendriya Vidyalaya team with 3-0 score win against DPSG Dehradun School team advanced to the quarterfinal level of the prestigious tournament.
All the Quarterfinal matches of ‘YoGems Inter School u17 Delhradun Football Championship’ are scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue.
