Yo-Yo test becomes mandatory for IPL players as well

The Yo-Yo test has come into scrutiny recently, with the B.C.C.I making it mandatory for all players who wish to represent the country at the international stage. IPL franchises have also taken a leaf out of their book, with all players under their rooster being made to undergo the test.
It is helpful in chalking out specific training plans for each player. Also, it has helped in assessing the roles a player is more suitable to play in the team. With such emphasis being given to the test, it has brought about a change in the perspective towards fitness in Indian cricket.
