World Athletics Championships 2022: Avinash Sable finishes 11th in 3000m SC Final

Avinash Sable finished 11th in the men’s 3000m steeplechase final on Tuesday with a timing of 8:31.75 at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon.
Morocco’s Soufiane El Bakkali made a late charge to secure the gold medal with a timing of 8:25.31. El Bakkali became the first non-Kenyan runner to hold the Olympic and World titles simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s Lamecha Girma had to settle for a silver medal after clocking 8:26.01. Girma had finished second at the Tokyo Olympics last year.
Kenya’s Conseslus Kipruto, who held the lead for a major of the race, finished in third place with a timing of 8:27.92.
