Vijayant Thapar footy Tournament: Army public school, Jamia Islamia wins

The 18th Captain Vijayant Thapar Memorial football tournament is being held at Sector-37 located Army Public School, Noida. Thursday witnessed four high tensity matches at the Army school ground. Teams who came at the top after those heated matches were Jamia Islamia School-Delhi, Army Public School-Noida, Summerville School-GreNo and Vidya Gyan School-Bulandsahar.
In the first match of the day Jamia Millia Islamia defeated Army Public School Red-Noida by the narrow scoreline of 1-0. Haif scored the only goal of the match.
In the second match of the day VidyaGyan School edge past boys from Army Public School-Dhaula Kuan by 1-0. Pankaj scored the lone goal of the match.
In the third match of the day Somerville School-Greater Noida defeated Shiv Nadar School Noida by the margin of 3-1. Akshat, Vansh and Om scored the goal for Somerville while Ahan pulled one back for Shiv Nadar School.
While in the closing match of the day, Army Public School- Noida defeated Syed Abid Hussain Jamia School Delhi in a thriller where Army edge past Jamia by 2-1.
