Varuni and Jatin claimed spot in pre-quarter final stage

39th edition of District Badminton Championship gained immense response from the players and the spectators. In the matches played in the KL Mehta Senior Secondary School, Faridabad, third and fourth grade matches finds their way on Sunday.

In girls category, Varuni claimed spot in the pre-quarter final stage and Jatin in boys category formed winning stroke to reach the later stage of the tournament. Monday is decided as the day to play pre-quarter final and semifinal matches.

As per the officials, the winners of the respective category singles badminton matches will be later promoted to play for the state.

Girls matches for the day

In U 13 category, Varuni and Kanishka played first match in which Varuni formed the winning stroke with 15-1 and 15-1 scoreline. Chavi and Anvi won their respective games with walk-over. In the match between Chinmai Gupta and Dalisha, Chinmai won her match with score 15-6 and 15-8. In the same manner, Anmol won his match against Ananya Pal with 15-0 and 15-01 score.

Boys category matches for the day

In boys category first match was claimed by Jatin against Mehal with scoreline 15-02 and 15-07. In one other match, Saket Mittal wom his respective challenge against Arnav with 15-3 and 15-2 score. Ishant formed winning stroke against Yashvardhan with 15-07 and 15-02 score, Aryan marked tough competition against Rohan with 15-12, 16-18 and 15-16. In other match, Yash Tanwar formed winning stroke against Parth with 16-18, 15-16, Parth won his match against Vaibhav with 15-05, 15-03 and Jatin reached the next level with winning match against Vishesh with 15-11 and 15-03.
