U-17 FIFA Women World Cup officials visit Guwahati

Key members of organizing committee for U-17 FIFA Women World Cup visited Guwahati on Monday. During this visit they also met with the top officials of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and discussed on different matters related to the competition.
India was earlier allotted to host U-17 Women World Cup in 2020 but due to COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was canceled and the next edition which would be held on 2022 allotted to India. Five cities were earlier selected as venues for the championship and Guwahati is one of them. The date of the competition is expected to be announced soon.
