Tribune School aim at double titles

Ayushi continued her impressive run as Tribune Model School, Sector 29, beat New Public School, Sector 18, 1-0 to set up the title clash with Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, on the second day of the 4th Tribune Trust Football Tournament in Chandigarh. Ayushi scored the only goal of the match in the 26th minute.
Tribune Model School also reached the boys’ final. In the semis, the hosts beat Ankur Public School, Sector 14, 5-4 on penalties after the two sides were tied 1-1 at the end of the regulation time. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Tribune boys humbled Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, 4-2.
St Joseph’s School registered 1-0 win over New Public School. Jatin was the lone goal scorer of the match.
Kushan scored five goals to power St Xavier’s School to a 7-3 win over Saupin’s School. Aryan and Ujjwal added a goal each to the St Xavier’s tally. Ashmeet struck a brace, while Utkarsh scored once for Saupin’s School.
