Titles won by Simardeep and Anirudh

Second seed Simardeep Singh faced strong resistance from Hruhaan Soni before winning the boys’ U-12 title on the concluding day of the Roots-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) here today.
Simardeep won the first set 6-2 but Hruhaan bounced back in the second, recording a 6-1 win.
In the final set, Simardeep managed to overcome his errors to record a 6-4 win to bag the title.
In the boys’ U-14 final, top seed Anirudh Sangra overpowered Umang Singh 7-5 6-2 without facing much difficulty. Shrawasti won the girls’ U-12 title by defeating Krittika Katoch 6-2 6-1 in straight sets, while second seed Sia Mahajan fought back from a set down to defeat Bhumika Gupta 1-6 6-2 6-0 in the girls’ U-14 final.
