The impact of a good coach on a player’s life

The role of a coach can be best described via this quote by Ric Charlesworth – “The interesting thing about coaching is that you have to trouble the comfortable, and comfort the troubled”. A player is not born as a player. He/she has attained the physical and mental strength via time, carrying out rigorous training and thus dooming fit to be cited as a player. Be it any sport, a successful player always carries the limelight and love from the public, media etc. But have you ever pondered how he started his/her journey and how they came such a long way?

Well during all this time, there was one person who acted as a teacher, friend, competitor in the backdrop so silently and selflessly that no one even noticed their hard work. This person is ‘The Coach’ of the player. The person who believed in the player from the very starting when he/she was nothing. The person who stood by his student when they were going through hard times. The person who not only provided player with the understanding of the game, the techniques of playing but also provided them with the mental strength and motivation.

The coach has a transitional period in the life of a player. As a kid you will have a different coach and as you grow and proceed as a player your coaching requirements and coach will change, with each one of them having a significant impact on your game and life.

So, all I am saying is that coach has a lot of influence on the player’s game and You must choose your coach wisely and treat them with reverence for all the efforts they put in to improve your game and lifestyle.
