Thapar memorial Football tourney starts

Opening day of Captain Vijyant Thapar Memorial Inter School football tourney was held at Army Public School, Noida, Sector-37. Most of the matches played on opening day of tourney was one sided, as most of the high spirited teams dominated their opponents. Almost 12 teams from around Delhi-NCR are participating in this football competition. Competition will have its final on 5th November.
In the first match of the day Jamia Millia Islamia School, Delhi defeated ShriRam Millennium School Noida by 3-0. In another match of the day host Army Public School Noida defeated Billabong School by 3-0.
Another match saw Army Public School, Shankar Vihar edging past Somerville School by 2-1.
In the most one-sided match of the day Army Public School annihilated Step by Step school challenge by 5-0.
Opening day of the match was attended by Dr. Rakesh Chandola, Colonel V.N Thapar along with Army School principal, Jyoti Rana. Final will be played on 5th November.
