Tejaswini Sawant shoots Silver 50m rifle prone at the Commonwealth Games

India’s medal kitty went to 25 early on Thursday morning as Tejaswini Sawant repeated her heroics from the 2010 Delhi edition. She shot a total of 618.9 points in the final, winning her 6th medal at the Games. This was India’s 12th medal in shooting.

She was beaten by a determined ML Veloso of Singapore took Gold with a Games record of 621 while Scotland’s Seonaid McIntosh won Bronze with a total of 618.1. Anjum Moudgil, the other Indian in the fray, finished a disappointing 16th.
