Teams are decided for Subroto Cup’s Final Showdown

Final stage game of the State Level Subroto Cup for Boys and Girls category will be played today in between Maharana Pratap Sports College and Pauri teams in U 14 category. On the other hand, Girls team of Dehradun Team and Nanital will present a challenge against each-other in the finals of the U-17 category.
On Tuesday, the semifinal matches of the tournament offered chances to Pauri and Pithoragarh team to reach the final of Subroto Cup in U 14 category. Maharana Pratap Sports College was the venue of the delightful semifinal. The first half of the semi-final ended without favoring any of the sides, the starting moment of second-half brings a smile on the spectators of Pauri team, the team scored two quick goals in 45th and 46th minute of the game. In the 48th minute, Rohit scored the final goal of the match and Pauri team reached final of the tournament with flying colors.
In the second semi-final for the day, hosts Sports College accredited their side with one goal lead in first few minutes of the game. The side maintained their lead against Dehradun team at the end of the day to win the match with 1-0.
Girls bring an action to the ground in the semifinal match between Dehradun and Haridwar in the U-17 category. Dehradun’s forward Sapna emerged as the star of the match after producing two goals in 35th and 45th minute of the game. In the second semi-final, Nanital team witnessed their win in the match by scoring 2 superb goals against Pauri team and maintaining the scoreline for 2-0 at the end of the match.
