Tashna bags Gold in Western Asia Chess Championship

Noida, Sector-56 based Tashna Agarwal won Gold in recently concluded Western Asia Chess Championship. This tournament was organized in Delhi from 4th September to 11th September 2019 and 10 countries from Asia participated in the following Tourney in Delhi.
Tashan who is a student of class third at Shiv Nadar School participated in the Under-10 age group of this tournament. She won Gold in the classic round of the U-10 age group.
Tashan defeated players from UAE, Sri Lanka and Nepal to clinch the main title in the classic round.
In rapid round, Tashna again performed brilliantly but had to settle for Bronze, this time around. In rapid round Tashna defeated players from Kazakhstan and UAE to acquire that third place medal.
Tashna also won Women Cadet Master award in this tournament along with her Gold and Bronze medal.
Tashna is going through a great form this year, as earlier this year in July she won a Bronze in Commonwealth Chess Championship which also took place in Delhi from 1st July to 7th of July 2019. In this championship around 200 players from countries like Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia, and Bangladesh took part.
