Subroto Cup: Betkuchi book their berths to Semis

Betkuchi High School of Guwahati, representing Assam entered semifinals in the U-14 Subroto Cup. In a quarterfinal match played in New Delhi, Assam team defeated Meghalaya opponent 5-3 in the penalty shoot-out.
Match was fairly dominated by both the teams till the last minute of the regulation time. Bothy teams were not giving an inch to each other and were properly engaged in end to end stuff on the pitch.Both teams defender had their nightmares defending other team strikers as at the end of the regulation time the match ended in a 2-2 draw. For Betkuchi- Satyajit Bey played some beautiful football and thus scored both goals in the regulation time. Defenders of Meghalaya had no chance against Bey’s skills.
In the shoot-out Mintu Barman, Satyajit Bey and Nayan Rabha converted their PK from the spot. But, Goalkeeper Mithinga Daimary was the ultimate hero of the penalty shootout as he made two brilliant saves in the tie breaker and ultimately won the match for Betkuchi boys.
