Sub-junior Basketball title won by DGSG and Khalsa School

Khalsa Girls Senior Secondary School and DGSG Public School hogged the limelight, winning titles in the girls’ and boys’ sections, respectively, in the Sub-Junior Ludhiana District Basketball Tournament that concluded at Guru Nanak Stadium here today.
In the girls’ category, BIS School and Doraha Public School secured the second and third positions, respectively, whereas in the boys’ section, BIS School finished as first runners-up and Gymkhana Club secured the third spot.
As many as 28 teams competed in the three-day tournament, organised by the Ludhiana District Basketball Association.
Office-bearers of the association, including JP Singh, Teja Singh Dhaliwal and Vijay Chopra gave away prizes to the winners.
Coaches Brij Behari and Davinder Singh Dhindsa among other guests were present on the occasion.
Performance of players during this tournament will be taken into consideration while finalising the Ludhiana teams for the Sub-Junior Punjab State Basketball Championship.
