Stunning Sweta sets up final date with Simran

Sweta Samanta continued her impressive run in the ongoing CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament as she demolished Jaskirat Kaur in straight sets to march into the girls’ U-18 final here on Thursday.
Sweta stunned the seventh seed 6-2 6-0 to set up the title clash with fourth seed Simran Pritam, who downed Hitkamya Singh Narwal 6-3 6-3 in the semifinals.
Bhupender in final
In the boys’ U-18 category, top seed Bhupender Dahiya extended his victory march against sixth seed Aryan Thakur to seal a spot in the final. Dahiya won 6-3 6-1 and will now play third seed Manveer Singh for the title on Friday. Manveer registered a 6-4 6-4 win over Jitin Kumar Chetry in the semis.
Jitin-Sukhpreet win
Chetry though combined with Sukhpreet Singh Jhoje to win the boys’ U-18 doubles title after stunning the second seeded pair of Arunava Majumdar and Torus Rawat 6-3 0-6 10-5 in the final.
In the girls’ U-18 doubles final, third seeds Chahana Budhbhatti and Hitkamya Narwal upset top seeded pair of Riya Kaushik and Radhika Vasudeva 6-4 6-2.
