State skating: Ayaan Singla bags twin titles

Budding city skater Ayaan Singla won twin titles during the Haryana State Skating Championship in Gurugram, yesterday. Competing in the 5-7 years category, Ayaan topped the chart in both lap race I and II. The skater also claimed the group champion trophy. Daksh Nayyer won the silver medal in the lap race I.
In the girls’ competition, Tanya Bhatnagar won the gold medal in lap race I, while she picked a silver medal each in the lap race II and III during the girls’ 5-7 years contest. Aeshavi Vashisht finished with a bronze medal each in the lap race II and III. She also picked up a silver medal in the lap race I.
In the boys’ 7-9 years competition, Parth Singla won the gold medal in the 1,000m race, while he picked a bronze medal each in the lap race I and the road race. Jaibhav Vashisht won a silver medal in the boys’ 500m race.
Competing in the 7-9 years category, Jaibhav also clinched a gold medal in the road race. In the girls’ 7-9 years contest, Harsirat Kaur won a gold medal each in the lap race I, II and III. Swastik Sharma won a gold medal in the lap race I, while he picked up a silver medal in the 500m race and a bronze in the 1,000m contest in the boys’ 9-11 years age-group.
