State Inter-school: Modern HS secures a narrow 2-run win

Modern High School posted a narrow 2-run victory against Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya in the match of the 14th All Assam Inter School Cricket Tournament for the Md Abdul Ali Trophy at the Latasil playground in Guwahati. In reply to Modern’s 86, Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya managed to score 84 for eight.
Brief scores: Modern – 86 (Veer Yadav 20, Majnur Ahmed 18, Priyangshu Dutta 3/14, Debraj Bordoloi 2/5). Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya 84/8 (Swapnabh Bharali 22, Rahul Boro 3/5, Hrishikesh Borah 3/20).
And the 15 member team was also announced by ACA for the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy Tournament, yesterday. Amlan Jyoti Das will lead the 15-member Assam team.
The team is named for the first two matches.
