Special Oly: Durga, Shivam race to gold

Durga clocked 7.69s to win the 25m gold in the F01 category in the Special Olympics Athletics State Meet at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here today. She was followed by Sushila (7.72s) and Simranjeet Kaur (9.30s) in second and third places, respectively.
In the F02 category, Bhajno topped the podium with a timing of 8.60s. Pritpal Kaur (8.66s) bagged the second position, while Anu (8.78s) secured the third spot.
Geeta (10.77s) clinched the gold medal in the F03 competition. Shivani (11.20s) secured the silver, while Gaury Chandihiok (11.86s) returned home with the bronze.
In the M01 category, Shivam competed 25m run in 7.55s to win the gold medal. Divyanshu Kumar (8.11s) clinched the silver, while Trinabh Dutt (8.40s) bagged the bronze medal.
Kunal Chugh (7.49s) dominated the field in the M02 category. Shanveer Singh (8.80s) and Akshit Rana (8.82s) followed in second and third places, respectively.
In the M03 category, Raman Sharma (8.19s) won the gold medal, while Jayant Sharma (8.69s) pocketed the silver. Vasu Sharma (9.33s) bagged the bronze medal. — TNS
