Sparsh, Ananya stuns spectators in National-Level Chess Championship

Gurgaon district’s Sparsh Bisht has achieved overall 6th rank in the Under-09 age category of 32nd National Chess Championship held in Ranchi of Jharkkhand state on 23rd September.
In the Girls category Ananya Agarwal finished the same competition with overall 17th rank in the competition.
Locals of Gurgaon region welcomed both the chess players with festive like mood. The national Level Chess Championship was played amongst the 274 Boys participants of the region. In the 11th round of the competition, Sparsh grabbed 8.5 points.
In the girls category, Ananya grabs best performance from the gurgaon region with total 7.5 points out of 11.
General Secretary of Haryana Chess Association appreciated the positions attained by both the players and tagged them as the next sensation players from the region.
Class 4 student Sparsh is student of Amity International School and clinched the Haryana Champion title for 4 times in a row. He has also represented India at international level at Asian School Chess gam,es held in Taiwan in year 2014 and finished the leage with overall 4th position.
Ananya is student of DPS School Sector 45 and has played national level chess event in Under 09 age category.
