P.V Sindhu, the last Indian hope in the World Badminton Tournament has reached the semi-final stage of the championship. P.V Sindhu’s win in the quarter final match was not easy for the Indian shuttler as her match was against Naomi Aokuhara who had won final last year in the championship against Sindhu.

P.V Sindhu’s win in the match also boosted her morale this time and she ensures taking revenge from the winner of the last year in the semifinal match. The quarter match between P.V Sindhu and Aokuhara was mostly a one sided match in which Sindhu registered her win in straight set with 21-17 and 21-19.

Semi-final’s ticket for Sindhu has also ensured at least one medal for India in the World Badminton Tournament. India’s other hope Saina Nehwal settled for being on the losing side of the match against two time championship gold’s winner Calorina Marin.

India’s mixed double team players Satvik and Sairaj Reddy along with mens’ single player B. Sai Praneet also witnessed loss in his particular match.
