Sidharth wins gold on Day 1

Sidharth Chauhan scored three points to finish on top in the men’s laser boat competition on the opening day of the Punjab Amateur Yachting Championship at Sukhna Lake on Saturday.
Chauhan was followed by Dharambir in second place, while Vikas claimed the third position.
In the men’s enterprise boat event, Navneet Singh and Mahesh Kumar clocked 4:27.078 seconds to claim the first position. Bhupinder Singh and Dilraj Singh (4:45.61s) finished second, while Parmjit Singh and Akashdeep Singh (7:01.18s) followed in third place.
Manpreet and Amandeep Kaur of Bathinda dominated the filed in the women’s competition. The duo clocked 4:10.78s to claim the top spot.
Ropar’s Ashmita and Apoorva Rana (5:20.25s) secured the second place, while Madhu Sharma and Manpreet Kaur (5:20.27s) had to be content with the third position.
