Shuttlers from DPS Jammu prevails at State Championship

Students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu brought laurels to the school and their parents by winning a total tally of 14 medals in the 46th J&K State Badminton Championship organised by the Badminton Association of Jammu and Kashmir held at MA Stadium from December 7 to 10, 2019.

Krishika Mahajan (VIII-F) emerged winner in U-15 Doubles, U-17 Doubles, U-17 Mix Doubles, U-19 Doubles, Women Singles and runner-up in the U-15 Singles and Women’s Doubles. Shambhavi Rajput (VI-K) emerged winner in U-15 Doubles and U-17 Doubles and runner-up in U-13 Singles and U-13 Doubles events. Udayan Sharma (VI-D) emerged winner in U-13 Singles and U-13 Doubles. Shreya Gutpa (VI-B) got a consolation prize.

All students were also felicitated with the cash prize. Further, Krishika and Shambhavi have also been selected for Nationals to be held at Bhubaneswar from December 17 to 22, 2019.

Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated all the winners, their parents and Coach, Preeti Gupta for the achievement and for the upcoming competitions. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta too appreciated the achievers.

President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro Vice Chairperson, Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi also extended their best wishes to the winners and their parents.
