Shubman Gill and Dinesh Karthik take Kolkata Knight Riders home with 6 wickets to spare against Chennai Super Kings

Shubman Gill made up for MS Dhoni’s dropped catch by smashing 57 not out of 36 balls to take his team home chasing a target of 178 runs against CSK at the Eden Gardens. Earlier, CSK had made a good start to their innings with Shane Watson making 36 runs of just 25 balls. He was later supported by MS Dhoni who made 43 runs of the same number of balls. Sunil Narine finished withfigures of 2 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs.
KKR always kept the required run rate in check, scoring boundaries at will. Dinesh Karthik proved his mettle once again making 45 runs of just 18 balls.
