Science exhibition from Nov 22 at Green Land School

The regional-level science exhibition will be held at Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bypass,Ludhiana from November 22 to 23, to develop scientific attitude amongst students. The theme for the science fair is ‘Science and technology for sustainable development with a thrust on water conservation’.

A total 102 schools of Punjab and Chandigarh, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), will showcase their creativity and innovation through their projects. As many as 140 models will be displayed, sub-themes for which are ‘sustainable agriculture practices’, ‘cleanliness and health, resource management’, ‘industrial development’, ‘future transport and communication’, and ‘educational games and mathematical modelling’. Students can participate individually and as a team of two. Only original and innovative research-based science projects will be exhibited by students. Each school can display a maximum of two models but of different sub-themes.

The CBSE had instructed to forward 18 well-qualified and experienced judges, of which a panel of six judges has been selected for fair evaluation. Each participating team will get three to four minutes to present their work to the expert committee. The guidelines have been sent to selected team of judges by the CBSE. Based on these guidelines, the best 21 to 24 exhibits in the science exhibition will be selected to enter the national-level science exhibition.
