School Teams tackled down rain on Day 03 of YoGems Inter School U17 Dehradun Championship

Day 03 of the prestigious Inter School Football Championship started with drizzles over the Pavilion Ground of Dehradun. On day 03 of the championshp, quarter-final matches of the tournament were played. The matches of the day started with some delay due to rain but the energetic teams of Dehradun played their scheduled games with great enthusiasm. Total 4 matches were played in between eight schools team on the second-last day of the football tournament. 4 strong contenders of the winning trophy raced towards the last day of the YoGems Inter School U 17 Dehradun Football Championship to try their luck for the final showdown.
Day 03 Match 1: Maharana Pratap Sports College and Army Public School, Birpur (Team-A) played the first match of the day. Both the teams started the game by holding the possession of the ball and the only goal of the match was scored by Maharana Pratap team with efforts of Garv Bora (in 20th min) of the match. Both the teams tried their bench power in the match but at last the match ended while declaring Maharana Pratap the winning team against Army Public School with scoreline 1-0.
Day 03 Match 2: Kendriya Vidyalaya O.N.G.C team and SGRR Public School Team played their scheduled match for the day. SGRR team showcased attacking play in the duration of the match and added first goal of the match in 27 min of the match by Sagar Chettri. Abhishek Aggarwal scored the second goal for SGRR team (in 49 min) of the play. Kendriya Vidyalaya team was not able to score even a single goal in the match and SGRR grabbed the ticket for final day with 2-0 scoreline.
Day 03 Match 3: Doon Valley Public School offered challenge to the Kendriya Vidyalaya, IMA team in the 3rd match of the day. Lokesh Rawat of Doon team scored the first match of the day (54 min), Kendriya Vidyalaya, IMA team bouncing back in the game scored marvelous two goals by Akash Chaudhary (71 min) and Rahul Singh (in 85 min) of the match. Kendriya Vidyalaya succeeds to win the match with 2-1 scoreline.
Day 03 Match 04: Pavilion Training Academy played the last match of the day against Kendriya Vidyalaya Birpur team. The half time of the match ended with none of the score accomplished by both the teams. In the penalty shootout Harsh Bahuguna, Ashish Chentel and Harsh Jeena scored goal for their team reaching the semi finals.
Tomorrow in the semi-final line up Mahara Pratap team will play first semi-final against SGRR Team . In the second semi-final Kendriya Vidyalaya IMA will play against Kendriya Vidyalaya Birpur.
