Sambo championship at Cambridge school concludes

Three-day Jammu District Sambo Championship organised by J&K Sambo Association, concluded with the holding prize distribution function at Cambridge International School, in Jammu yesterday. 

Assistant Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Manpreet Kour was the Chief Guest while Vice Chairman of Cambridge International School, S.D.S Jamwal was Guest of Honour. 

Also present were Abha Jamwal (Sarpanch Jagti) and Vikas Gupta (Vice President Judo Federation of India). 

Considering their performance, Tanushka and Divyansh Raina of BSF Primary School were named best players in girls and boys sections respectively. 

The overall trophy in the under-11 year category in both boys and girls sections went to BSF Primary School. 

The Results: 

GIRLS: Under-11 Years: Plus 20 kg: Khushnuma Jamwal, Ist; Apeksha Chibber, 2nd; Pari Slathia and Aradhya, joint 3rd. 24 kg: Sakshi Preet Kour, Ist; Akhila 2nd; Niyeti and Sadhvi Singh, 3rd. Open: Tanushka, Ist; Kashish Rajput, 2nd; Ananya and Bhavya, joint 3rd.

Under-15: Open: Rajat Chib, Ist; Sunny Thakur, 2nd; Aniket Shan and Faijal Choudhary, joint 3rd. 50 kg: Sahil Raina, Ist; Monik Khan, 2nd; Ayush Khajuria and Mohit Kumar, joint 3rd.

BOYS: Under- 11 Years: 40 kg: Divyansh Raina, Ist; Lakshay Gupta, 2nd; Babar Hussain and Ivinpreet Singh, joint 3rd. 45 kg: Shaurya Dev Singh, Ist; Vipul, 2nd; Lakshay Jasrotia and Javed, joint 3rd. Open: Adhyan Chib, Ist; Surya Pratap Singh, 2nd; Arayaveer Singh and Arrav Sharma, joint 3rd. 35 kg: Vishrut, Ist; Kush Kumar, 2nd; Sakib and Lovish Gupta, joint 3rd. 40 kg: Rahul, Ist; Rohit Sharma, 2nd; Sohan Verma and Advit Jamwal, joint 3rd.
