BadmintonYoGems Elite District Badminton Players Invitational Tournament 2017

YoGems Elite District Badminton Players’ Invitational Tournament 2017 concluded today at Noida Stadium where around 60 emerging players who excelled in YoGems Emerging Players’ District Badminton Tournament 2017 got chance to play with the BAI ranked players.

On the 2nd and the last day of the tournament over 60 matches were played in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles category across different age groups.

In Boys Singles Under 13 years, Ryan Ranjan of Modern School won over Jai Sukhwani of Jaypee Publc School by 21-15, 21-16

In Girls Singles Under 13 years, Anushree Venkatesh of Delhi Public School won over Sanvie Anand of Greater Valley School by 21-16, 21-14

In Boys Singles Under 15 years, Neer Nehwal was the winner. Adi Krisha of Step By Step School stood second.

In Girls Singles Under 15 years, Shehjar Chowdhary of Vishwa BHarti Public School won over Kritika Bhatt of Jaypee Public School by 21-11, 21-8

In Boys Singles Under 17 years, Mukul Teotia of SSK Public School was the winner by 21-13, 21-18. Aditya Verma of Sarla Chopra Public School stood second.

In Girls Singles Under 17 years, Anusha Goel of Vishwa BHarti Public School won over Sonali Singh of DAV School by 8-21, 21-10, 21-19

In Boys Doubles Under 13 years, Neer Nehwal and Ryan Ranjan got the gold. They won by 21-8, 21-16 over Saket Saksham and Suryansh Ahlawat of Ryan International School.

In Girls Doubles Under 13 years, Aparajita Kalra and Sanvie Anand won over Ridhima Singh and Anjali Negi by 17-21, 9-21.

In Boys Doubles Under 15 years, Himanshu Negi and Aadi Krishna won over Srihan Pandey and Ameya Jaiswal by 21-12, 23-21

In Girls Doubles Under 15 years, Batul Talib and Bhavya Mittal won by 21-11, 21-11 over Dhaanya Mishra and Ritika Basoya

In Boys Doubles Under 17 years, Aditya Verma and Chirag Seth won over Anirudh Shankar and Abbhas Aggarwal by 21-16, 14-21, 21-18

In Girls Doubles Under 17 years, Nimisha Pandey and Sonali Singh won by 21-17,17-21,21-10 over Anusha Goel and Shehjar Chowdhary.

The mixed doubles category which was introduced for the first time ever in any district tournament was welcomed by children and the parents.

In under 13 years, Saket Saksham and Sanvie Anand won over Ryan Ranjan and Ridhima Singh by 21-16, 21-13

In under 15 years, Neer Nehwal and Sonali Singh won over Shehjar Chowdhary and Aadi Krishna by 21-11, 21-9-21

In under 17 years, Anusha Goel and Chirag Seth won by 21-18, 21-12 over Ria Mittal and Anirudh Shankar.
