A target of 176 runs proved to be too less for RCB to defend as they lost to KKR by 6 wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Put into bat after losing the toss, the RCB innings was steered by the captain Virat Kohli’s innings of 68 not out on a slowish track. Birthday boy Andre Russell took 3 wickets for 31 runs for the visitors.

In reply, KKR got off to a great start with Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine hitting boundaries at will. RCB dropped a number of chances off both batsmen. In the end, Lynn made 62 not out and ensured that KKR got those 2 important points.
