Roots-AITA: Rijul & Vishita claims the title

Rijul Bhatia stunned Shraeyvir in straight sets to win the boys’ U-16 title on the concluding day of the Roots-AITA Challenge Series (CS-7) National Ranking Championship at Zirakpur, Chandigarh. Bhatia won 4-1 4-2.
In the semifinals, Shraeyvir downed Aarush Sharma 4-2 4-0. Bhatia registered an identical win over Kartik Sunil Kumar.
In the girls’ U-16 contest, Vishita drubbed Anandita Sharma 4-1 4-0 to claim the title. Earlier, Vishita upset top seed Neha Reddy 4-2 4-1 to set up the title clash with Anandita, who registered a 5-3 0-4 10-7 win over Anusha Verma in the semis.
Harleen Kaur Dhanda stunned top seed Simran Pritam 4-1 4-1 in the girls’ U-18 summit clash. In the semis, Simran humbled Mrinalini Sharma 4-1 5-3, while Harleen drubbed Jyotsana Yadav 4-0 4-0.
