Rohtak’s Lalita honored with best boxer title in Serbian youth boxing tournament

The Indian boxers surprised participants from all over the world at the 36th Golden Glove of Vojvodina Youth Tournament played in Subotica, Siberia.
Indian boxers were the top spot gainer in the tournament, as India ended their Siberian tour on a winning note with four men and three women gold medals in the tournament. At the end of the tournament, Indian team enjoyed top positioning at the podium with total 17 medals in the tournament. Total 17 countries delegation took part in the boxing tournament inaugurated in Siberia. Apart India, Russia fetched 11 medals in the tournament but ended up at the third position in the tournament behind Kazakhstan who ended the tournament with better gold medal count than the counterparts Russia.

Aman (+91kg), Akash Kumar (56kg), S Barun Singh (49kg), Vijaydeep (69kg), Nitu (48kg), Divya Pawar (54kg) and Lalita (69kg). Aman got an easy entry in the final of +91kg category due to the presence of just 2 other boxers in the category. Aman defeated Hungarian boxer Laszlo Felfoldi with scoreline (5-0) to cap gold for India.
Haryana Boxer dominated the medal tally for the Indian team
Rebellious girl from Lalita dominated over her rival Angelina Kabakova with scoreline 4-1 to win gold for India. Girls who ended their journey with silver medals includes the name of youth world champion Jyoti Gulia (51kg), Sonepat girl Manisha (64kg) and Neha Yadav (+81kg) categories respectively.
