Rohan Bopanna and Edouard Roger-Vasselin continued to move forward in the men’s doubles at the French Open, registering a straight sets win over Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe.

The 13th seeded pair of Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin barely broke a sweat as they dispatched the American duo 6-3, 6-1 to enter the round of 32.

They will now face the French duo of Benjamin Bonzi and Gregoire Jacq later on Thursday.

Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan had a harder time overcoming the pair of Purav Raja and Fabrice Martin, with the match going to three sets.

However, the Indian duo proved too much for the French-Indian pair as the former won 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.

Rohan Bopanna won his maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open last year in the mixed doubles with Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski.

Yuki Bhambri got direct entry in the tournament in the men’s singles due to being in the top 100 of the world rankings. However, he lost his first round match in straight sets to Belgium’s Ruben Bemelmans.
