Real Madrid players all set to light up the 2018 World Cup
Come 14th June and the best players will descend to Russia to packed stadiums and millions watching as they represent their respective countries. But there is one club which is common to all title contending teams. A large number of players from the world biggest club Real Madrid are present in almost all teams. The club has provided many key players over the past 5 editions.
Christian Karembeu (with France in 1998) and Sami Khedira (Germany in 2014) are some players who have gone on to wear the winners medal.
This time around, the club has provided some of the best crowd favourites as well. Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal and Isco are some of Spain’s key players as they hope to win the Cup again after 2010 in South Africa.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be captaining the Portugal side as they wish to make it through to the knockout stage. Known for his Godly skills over the ball, the 33-year-old is the pillar around which the Portuguese team revolves.
Raphael Varane is sure to be in the starting 11 for France as he is a favourite of manager Didier Deschamps who might even make him captain. Karim Benzema, however has had a fallout with the national team and is not expected to make it to the final squad.
Midfielder Toni Kroos is set to represent Germany at the World Cup and will play a central role in the team.
