Ramraj Academy stands just one step away from winning 1st Uttarakhand’s Thanksgiving Cup

Riding high with all-around performance of Harshit, Ramraj Academy marks its way to the final of Thanksgiving Cup by dominating the semifinal game against Doon Tigers by 70 runs.

The second semifinal of the tournament will be played on Thursday, in between Brothers and Himalayan Academy to decide the second finalist of the ongoing championship.

In the first semifinal match, Ramraj Academy decided to bat first in the game after winning the crucial toss. The team played decently to score 179 total runs on board at lost of all scalps in the game. Harshit batted for the longest duration in the game to score 48 runs as his contribution to the total, Prashant Chauhan tried to hold wickets in middle and scored 37 runs carefully, Rajesh Rawat and Girish Raturi contributed 18 runs each to stand at the third highest scorer for Ramraj Academy. Arya and Kapil were the best bowlers for Doon Academy for the day as they captured 3 scalps each, Shashank also bowled with his full potential to grab 2 wickets in the semi-final match.

While chasing 179 runs total in second innings, Doon Academy ended their part for the day after reaching just 110 runs in 29.4 over. Shashank and Kapil were the top scorers for the Doon academy as they scored 20 and 17 runs on their part in the match. Harsh showed great all-around instinct in the crucial match, as the player sent 4 top order batsmen in the dugout. Sachin also bowled well in the match to credit 3 wickets in his bowling performance.

For showing great skills with the bat as well as with the ball, Harsh undoubtedly carried Man of the Match Award to his home.
