Poonch boxing championship concludes

The district boxing championship organised by the District Poonch Association under the aegis of J&K Amateur Boxing Association, concluded on Tuesday at Sports Stadium, here.
In total, 46 boxers participated in this competition in various weight categories of boys and girls. Chief Guest, Chief Prosecuting Officer (CPO), Madan Lal and Guest of Honour, Executive Officer of the Poonch Municipal Committee, Garu Ram gave away the prizes to the medal winners.
Prominent among others present were Parvez Afridi (Chairman AHSAAS Foundation), Amarjeet Singh (Weightlifting coach), Tarnveer Ahmed Dar and Charanjeet Singh.
The competition was held under the overall supervision of Boxing coach of the J&K Sports Council, Mushtaq Ahmed.
The Results: BOYS: 30-32 kg: Amit, Ist and Tanqeer, 2nd. 32-34 kg: Umar, Ist and Abasa-ul-Haq, 2nd. 40-42 kg: Sharib, Ist and Vinayat, 2nd. GIRLS: 42-44 kg: Sanjana, Ist and Anisha, 2nd. 44-46 kg: Farhana, Ist and Maryam, 2nd. 49-52 kg: Balkiran Kaur, Ist and Hajra, 2nd.
