Pinana wins Dronacharya Hockey Tournament

Inter state hockey Tournament final saw Sonipat’s Pinana clashing in a thrilling match with Delhi’s Ifko team. Match between both great team went to tie-breaker where boys from Sonipat emerged victorious with 3-2 win over Ifko in tie-breaker.
Final was played in Government Senior Secondary School Ground, Gurugram.
Rising star Secretary Naresh Saini told Pianana team went 2-0 up at half time, with two quarter still to play Delhi’s boy came up hard at Piana and went 3-2 up in matter of just 20 minutes.
When it was looking that Piana got no game changer and all legs look tired, an immediate counter goal in the last 5 minutes came to Pinana rescue and gave some much needed boost for team from Soniapt. That goal led to extra time where Piana emerged victorious with 3-2 score line.
In a third place match between Merrut and Soniapt. Sonipat team thrashed Merrut in a one sided affair which ended at 3-0 goal score line. Rising star, chairperson Azad Katariya told that winners along with trophies and medals will receive the total sum of 31,000rs and runner up will get 21,000rs and the team on the third place got 11,000 as award money. All 12 team who participated in the competition played really with high octane energy, which everyone enjoyed and praised.
