Para Athletics Championship kick starts in Gurugram

Two day athletics Championship for specially abled para school students kick starts in Gurugram’s Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector-38, yesterday. First day was filled with some action packed events.
District sports officer Jagdish Ahalawat confirmed that almost 100 of players are registered to take part in different events at this tournament.
On the first day In Under 9-12 boys category Ravinder bagged Gold while Arbaz who gave him a tough battle had to settle for silver in a closely contested match. In the same age category of Girls participants- Kanchan bagged the Gold while Nishu had to settle for Silver.
In long Jump Rahul went on to win Gold, and for the silver it was another Rahul but this time it was Rahul Sharma who won silver.
In Under 6-8 age category long jump of boys Amit bagged Gold by jumping out all his rivals, in the process Vipin another brilliant athlete had to settle for Silver.
Just like Day 1, Day 2 promise more action at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram.
