Panchayat Dhanna’s girls & boys bags title in Kho-Kho & Tug of War

Panchayat Dhanna made it a clean sweep winning boys tug of war and girls kho-kho titles in the Khelo India inter-Panchayat Block level competitions held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government Middle School Kutlehar, Zone Lakhanpur, in Kathua, J&K on Thursday.
In the boys tug of war final, Panchayat Dhanna defeated Panchayat Dhanore whereas Panchayat Dhanna outplayed Panchayat Dhanore girls kho-kho final.
In the closing ceremony, ZPEO Lakhanpur, Pardeep Singh was the Chief Guest who gave away the trophy to the winner and runner up teams in the presence of MS Kutlehar.
Earlier, the competitions were inaugurated by Chairman, Block Keerian Gandyal, Pinky Devi in the presence of ZPEO Lakhanpur Pardeep Singh, Panchayat level front line staff and other dignitaries.
A total of 106 players including 59 girls and 47 boys of six Panchayats namely Karroh, Dhanna, Dhanore, Basantpur, Lower Maha and Jandore participated in the events.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Nidhi Sharma, Parveen Singh, Swarn Singh, Ajay Sharma, Rakesh Singh and Dharminder Singh.
