North Zone Hockey: AG UP thrashes AG Haryana in a one-sided Final

Audit general (AG) Uttar Pradesh registered a 4-1 win over hosts AG Haryana in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department North Zone Hockey Tournament at the Sector 42 Sports Complex in Chandigarh.
The young Uttar Pradesh team dominated during the whole match to bag the title. Deepak Yadav was clearly the man for UP as striker came up with a brilliant brace against host.
Yadav opened the team’s account in the 11th minute. The lead was doubled by Chandan Singh as he converted the first penalty corner of the match in the 24th minute.Skipper Imran Khan pulled off the third goal in the 29th minute, as he faced no challenge as he rushed forward and put the ball across the goal line. Striker Yadav then came up with another stunning goal to extend the lead to 4-0. Disheartened after trailing by four goals, the hosts managed to pull off a consolation goal in the 57th minute. Tribeni Prasad scored for AG Haryana when he sent the ball in with a powerful reverse flick.
