North Zone badminton championship in Haryana from today

Haryana Badminton Association will host the North Zone Inter-State Badminton Championships at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula from September 26-29. The tournament will be organised under the aegis of Badminton Association of India and nearly 150 shuttlers from seven states of the region will participate in it.
“The team championships will be held on September 26 and 27, while the individual matches will be played on September 28 and 29. Each state will have limited entry to the championship as per the clause of the national badminton body,” said Devender Singh, president, Haryana Badminton Association.
“Top ranked shuttlers from the region will participate in the championship and the two winners in each category will earn a direct entry to the National Games. Four shuttlers from Panchkula district will participate in the event,” added organising secretary Jatinder Mahajan.
