Noida Swimmers dominated Day 01 of CBSE North Zone Swimming Competition 2018

CBSE North Zone-1 Swimming Competition 2018 inviting swimmers for all the clusters, zonal and national level swimmers of all CBSE schools finally kicks-off on September 10. The 4 days swimming competition scheduled in Vidya Global School, Baghpat Road, Meerut will mark its end on September 13th.
Swimmers of North zone regions majorly from Uttrakhand, Badaun, Baghpat, Bijnour, Bulandshahar, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Amroha, Meerut, Muradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Saharanpur, Sambhal and Shamli district marked their presence in the competition.
On the inaugural day (01) of the swimming competition, all categories swimming final matches commenced and Noida swimmers dominated the swimming competition with great performances in all the respective hurdles.
In 1500m Free-Style Boys U 19 matches Udai Tulsain of Khaitan Public School of Ghaziabad claimed the top spot followed by Avrat Sharma of Kothari International School, Noida as the runner-up of the event. Under 11 200m IM swimming event named Sankhadeep Ghosh of Father Angel School, Beta II was named as the winner followed by Sarim Wali Khan of DPS Gamma-2 Greater Noida as the runner-up. 200 m Under 11 category dignified Ayushi Roy of DPS Gamma-02, Greater Noida as the top position gainer followed by Sargun Jindal of DPS Sector XXX, Noida.
200m IM category race for Under-14 category Boys triggered Shardul Singh of Kothari International School, Sector 50 Noida with superlative timings of 2.46.00s. Kabeer Bawa of Step By Step School Sector 135, Noida settled for the runner up spot with timings 2.46.50s. Same event for Under 14 girls named Ananya Singh of DPS Gamma-02, Greater Noida as the top performer followed by Anshita Kathait of DAV Public School, Rajinder Nagar, Ghaziabad as the runner up of the competition.
Final matches for Under 17 Boys of 200m IM competition classified Sahil Panjwani of Lotus Valley International School, Sector-126 Noida as the winner followed by Mridul Sharma of Indraprastha Global School Sector 93, Noida as the runner up. Under 17 Girls final hurdle of 200m IM named Shrishti Rawat of DPS Indirapuram Ghaziabad as the event topper and Mishti Vats of Uttam School Ghaziabad as runner up.
Score tally for Boys Under 19 200m IM event glorified Arjun Batra of Kothari International School, Sector 50, Noida as the winner while Hardik Daka of DPS Sec-XXX Noida settled for the runner up spot. Under 19 Girls 200m IM event named Navya Singal of DPS Sec-XXX Noida as the winner followed by Anusha Agarwal of Ecole Globale Girls’ School Dehradun as the runner-up.
Sarim Wali Khan of DPS Gamma Greater Noida in 50m back stroke Boys Under 11 final event aced the league, Aditya Pratap Singh of Step By Step School Greater Noida claimed the second spot. 50M Back Stroke Girls category competition named Devika Ojha of Step By Step Greater Noida as the showstopper and Anika Ghai of Sommerville School as the runner-up.
50m Butterfly event for Boys Under 17 category named Rishyant Singh of DAV Public School Rajinder Nagar, Ghaziabad as the winner followed by Sahil Panjwani of Lotus Valley International School Expressway Noida. 50M Girls in same age category classified Disha Bhandari of DPS Gamma 02, Greater Noida as the winner and Nihara Sawhney of Step By School as the runner-up.
50m Butterfly for Under 14 category Boys limelight Dhruv Pandey of Kothari Internartional School, Noida as the winner and Rajat Dhapola of St. Teresa School, Kathgodam as the runner-up. Suhani Jain of Step by Step School and Sneha Pathak of DPS Sec Gamma-2 Noida as the winners in girls category matches of the same event.
Boys Under 11 matches for 50m Butterfly named Arnav Tyagi of DPS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad as the winner followed by Kshitu Goel of Kothari International School as second spot gainer. Shreya Surnama of DPS Gautam Budh Nagar and Ayushi Roy of DPS Sector Gamma-02 Greater Noida were the winner in girls category matches of the same category.
Free Style Boys Under 19 category highlighted Shashwat Chaube of Lotus Valley International School as the winner followed by Kartik Ravi of DPS Indirapuram Ghaziabad as second spot gainer. Navya Singhal of DPS Noida and Deepa Yadav were the top two swimmers in the Girls category. 200m Free Style Girls Under 17 competition named Niharika of Step by Step School and Shushi Saini of Deewan Public School, Hapur as the winners.
200m Free style Boys Under 14 matches named Shardul Singh of Kothari International School as the winner and Aryan Chikara of DAV Public School Rajinder Nagar, Ghaziabad as the runner-up.
