Poorva leaps to
triple jump glory

Poorva Sawant and Sharvari Parulekar claimed the junior girls’ triple jump top spots in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports National Athletics Championship at the SAI Centre, Kandivali.

While Poorva cleared 11.38 metres to claim the gold, Sharvari came a close second with an effort of 11.31 metres.

Tennis tournament

The MSLTA-Rotary Club of Bombay Mid-City under-14 singles national ranking tennis tournament for boys and girls will held at the Ranade Tennis Centre on February 10 and 11.

“It’s an open draw event and on-site entries will be accepted,” said Manoj Vaidya, CEO, MSLTA at a press conference on Wednesday.
