National Sports Awards recognition by govt. of India.

Achieving recognize feels amazing and when this recognition is received by the govt. itself. It feels like be are on cloud nine. Below are mention what all awards one can achieve in sports by just being focused and working hard to achieve goals from govt. of India.

Recognition received by coach in India:
Dronacharya Award
The award was first given in 1985. The award is given to sports coaches who have successfully trained sports persons or teams and enabled them to achieve outstanding results in international competitions. They are also rewarded with rs. 5 lakhs.
Dhyan chand Award
The award was first given in 2002, to those sportspersons who have contributed to sports by their performance and continue to contribute to the promotion of sports even after their retirement from active sporting career. It is the lifetime achievement sporting honour of the Republic of India. The award was named after hockey player Dhyan Chand who scored more than 1000 goals in his career. They are also rewarded with rs. 5 lakhs.

Recognition received by Sports person in India:
Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award
The award was first given in 1991-92. It is given for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports by a sportsperson over a period of four years immediately preceding the year during which award is to be given. Monetary award of rs 7.5 lakhs is also there.
Arjuna Award
It was 1st given in 1961. In a year not more than 15 awards are given in each discipline with at least one award for sports for physically challenged. For good performance over the previous four years at the International level and also should have shown qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and a sense of discipline. They are also rewarded with rs. 5 lakhs.
Padma Awards
Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian awards in the nation. Padma Awards are categorised in three categories namey Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. These awards were started in the year 1954 and are announced every year on Republic day. These awards are given to those persons who have done exceptionally well in their fields. The awards are given in either March or April in the fields of Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs, Civil Service, Trade and Industry etc. As per the norms, there has to be a gap of at least five years between two Padma awards to the same person.
Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award
The award was first given in 1993, to recognize the achievement of persons associated in the field of adventure. There are 3 categories in which this award is given for adventure on land, sea and air and 1 award for lifetime achievement. They are also rewarded with rs. 5 lakhs.

Recognition received by institutes:
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy(MAKA)
The award was 1st given in 1956-57 and this award is given to university for overall performance, with a view to rationalize and simplify the selection of top performing university at the level of Inter-University, National and International competitions. The top-3 universities are given cash awards. And the award is of rs 10 lakhs, rs 5 lakhs and rs 3 lakhs.
Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar
1st Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar award was given in 2009. The reason behind the commencement of awards was to promote involvement of corporates and institutional boards in sports.The award was given into 4 categories:
(a) Identification and nurturing of budding/young talent
(b) Encouragement to sports through Corporate Social Responsibility
(c) Employment of sports persons and sports welfare measures
(d) Sports for Development
