National Basketball Championship: Its Dehradun vs Jaipur in Under-17 final

The 50th National Basketball Championship which is being held by KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) at Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, Bangalore saw team from Dehradun and Jaipur cruising their way to the final.
Day 4 of National Basketball Championship saw some exciting match up as in the first semi-final of the day, team from Jaipur defeated Chennai in a one sided match by 61-24 points. Jaipur outplayed Chennai in all 4 quarters of the game and won the game easily. Jaipur defense was so solid that it stopped Chennai to single digit points in 3 quarters of the game.
Second Semi-Final of the day also resulted in a one sided victory for boys from Doon as team Dehradun thrashed Varanasi 52-29. Doon outscored Varanasi in all 4 quarters and were able to score in double digits while restricting Varanasi to single digits in all quarters.
And after their respective loss in Semi-finals, team Varanasi and Chennai went head to head for third place in Basketball championship which resulted in the easy victory for Boys from Varanasi. Match started at a good note from Chennai boys as they outscore Varanasi by 4 points in the 1st quarter. But all credit to the grit shown by Varanasi boys in next 3 quarters, as they outscored Chennai in each one of them. Especially in the last quarter as they restricted Chennai to 0 points and scored 11 points in the process.
Day 4 also saw Semi-finals and third place match in the Under-14 category of KVS Basketball Championship at REVA University, Banglore. In the first Semi-final Dehradun Defeated Varanasi 53-46 in a close encounter and in a second semi-final Hyderabad defeated team from Tinsukia, Assam by 45-36. Final to be played between Hyderabad and Dehradun For third place Varanasi defeated Tinsukia 41-34.
