Mumbai Indians had to script a miracle comeback at the end to keep their hopes of making the playoffs of the IPL still alive. Batting first, Kings XI Punjab posted a below par 174 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, thanks largely due to Chris Gayle’s 50 runs and Marcus Stonins quick fire 29 runs of 15 balls.

In reply, MI were struggling at 120/4 with 55 runs needed in 27 balls. But the pair of Rohit Sharma (24*) and Krunal Pandya (31*) combined for a match winning partnership to take their side home with an over to spare.
