Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya (Malad) breezed to a huge 10-0 victory over Bombay Scottish ‘B’ (Mahim) in the girls’ under-12 Division-II match of the MSSA inter-school football tournament at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. The Radhakrishnan girls’ never gave Bombay scottish any chance to counter or create any chance during the whole match. The Malad girls enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 half-time lead at Azad Maidan.

Bombay scottish girls were no match against their opponents either in terms of physicality, stamina or experience. The defence of scottish was repeatedly penetrated by Radhakrishnan attackers, especially their No 10, Urvi Channal, who scored a ‘perfect 10’. The aggressive striker smashed all the goals for Radhakrishnan Girls which was just astonishing. The versatile player exhibited superb touch, excellent ball control to weave her way past the rival defenders and sharp finishing as she scored at regular intervals. Urvi, who started playing just a year ago, according to her coach, quickly picked up the basics and other football skills.
