More than a dozen international players, including Mouma Das, Soumyajit Ghosh, who are among the most ardent players of table tennis, will show their strength in Noida. International table tennis players will be seen for the first time in the Prometheus Gold Cup to be held in the city. The competition will be held from 21 August at Prometheus School, Sector-131. More than 500 players will participate in the competition. In which inter-school competition will also be held.

More than 10 international players including Saumajit Ghosh, Mouma Das, Rubin Kumar, Ronit Bhanja, Jeet Chandra, Adarsh ​​Kshetri, Payas Jain will participate in the competition. In this three-day open tournament, players in Cadet, Sub Junior, Junior, Youth, Women and Men will clash with each other for the title. The prize money of the competition is four lakh rupees. Which will be divided among various winners. Till now only district level table tennis competition has been organized in the city. In such a situation, after organizing this competition, the trend is expected to increase among the school students and youth. Preparations are being made for the event. Sharat Kamal is expected to play, but due to busy other tournaments, he cannot join the competition. So far 380 players have registered for the competition. Organizers expect more than 500 players to participate. In such a situation, it will be a big tournament in terms of table tennis. Prometheus School Chairman Mukesh Sharma and organizer Raman Dutta said that this will be Delhi NCR’s biggest competition in table tennis so far. All the preparations for the competition have been completed. All international players will arrive here on 20 August.

Almost, 250 players from Noida and Ghaziabad will participate in different categories of the competition. Students from 50 schools of Delhi NCR will join it. Apart from this, emerging tennis talent from across the country will show strength. The district players are expected to perform better. The maximum 200 players will be from Noida and Greater Noida. The presence of international level players will give a tough competition to the budding players in the tournament.
